Ugly Clothes I Used to Wear is a fashion blog. Well, sort of.
Have you ever went into a thrift store or a garage sale and found an article of clothing you used to own? It's an interesting feeling -- "Oh yeah! I used to have that sweater! I bought it at DEB when I was in high school." It can often bring back a flood of memories from that time period in which you wore it, and in turn, spark other memories. "...I remember wearing this in Chemistry class one time and spilled a beaker of acid on it..."
Time makes us forget about the stuff we wore, unless you wore it in a photograph. Those memories are never sparked unless you visit a second-hand store or a yard sale and happen to see something you used to own. And as the years go by, the chances of seeing stuff you owned long ago become less and less.
One day, I decided to log on to my old Photobucket account and saw all these old pictures of clothes I used to own. A laugh riot ensued.
I took these pics over the last decade because I was selling the clothing on eBay. So I'm putting them to use -- I'm creating a blog with my old eBay clothing pics and writing blurbs about each item. Hopefully you owned similiar stuff (or even the same exact piece of clothing! I shopped at chain mall stores (and I shopped A LOT) so chances are pretty good). I have a very good memory and know when and where I purchased this stuff.
The scary part is? Yeah, most of these clothes actually SOLD. People gave me money for this shit.
So this is kind of like an online thrift store, without the musty odor, rusty shopping carts and stapled-on tags with the price written in black crayon. Obviously, nothing is for sale because it was sold off to the highest bidder years ago. Here, you can dig through the posts to see if you, too, owned this ugly crap.
A note about the crap pictures:
I am NOT a photographer and the majority of these photos were taken from 2004-2008 with a prehistoric digital camera. Some of the photos don't do the item justice -- and I mean that in a bad way; the item looks nicer than it actually was. Because these items are no longer in my possesion, I cannot re-take the photos.
I hope you enjoy!
